Deep Tech and Water quality Early Alert

Pablo Perez: Deep Tech: A game changing solution aiming the intersection of three disciplines: software combined with hardware and spectroscopy. A Water-quality Early Alert System (WEAS) based on water pictures analysis to remotely (in-situ) and real time evaluate water parameters (Color, Turbidity, pH, Conductivity, DO, COD, BOD, SS, Amonia) at any sampling point using water images, in a easy to use and cost effective way.

Pablo Perez is CEO and Founder of AQUACORP.

Interview

What drives you?
We envision a future where water is continuously monitored in an easy and cost effective way.
We use innovation to help improve the quality of water in its natural environment.
We have the strong conviction on: “Taking care about fresh-waters protects the environment and contributes to the earth´s sustainability”.

Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
Uniqueness tech.
We are doing something that is not being done in the world.
We are getting water parameters such as COD, BOD, SS or Ammonia, using water images.

What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
• IoT to collect water data
• Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms to alert and prevent.
• And Spectroscopy to create the first scientific correlational model among optical, biological, and physicochemical water parameters.

What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
There are more than a 1Billion effluents around the world. Less than 0.1% of these effluents are continuously monitored.
Monitoring and evaluating water quality is essential to understand the intensity and the scope of the global water quality challenge, although data collection coverage in many parts of the world are unsuitable for this purpose.
“The Earth needs to better monitor, report, prevent and remedy pollution from water and we are helping to achieve it”

What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
A precise and accurate DATASET

“Special Quote”
A deep tech platform to water monitoring, without water contact. Just a camera, using water pictures to know water parameters.

About AQUACORP
We are a Spanish Deep Tech startup aiming the intersection of three disciplines: software combined with hardware and spectroscopy. We are developing a Water-quality Early Alert System (WEAS) based on water pictures analysis to remotely (in-situ) and real time evaluate water status, WEAS is a Deep Tech platform supporting Water Agencies and Water Utilities by allowing them to monitor, alert and prevent water status (Color, Turbidity, pH, Conductivity, DO, COD, BOD, SS, Amonia) at any sampling point using water images, in a easy to use and cost effective way.

We have the strong conviction on: “Taking care about fresh-waters protects the environment and contributes to the earth´s sustainability”.

Pablo Perez will speak at the 2021 edition of the Smart Farming Conference
