Alessandro Giusti, R&D Director, CyRIC will moderate the Session powered by CyRIC about smart farming solutions based on Photonics Technology at the Smart Farming Conference 2021.
Dr Alessandro Giusti is the R&D Director of CyRIC. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a PhD in Mechanical Systems Engineering from the Laboratory of Robotics, Politecnico di Milano.
His expertise extends to bio-photonics-based, automated analytical instrumentation, robotics, embedded systems design and integration, embedded electronics and the internet of things. He has been a leading member of the coordinating team of 7 EU-funded projects (H2020 and FP7) and participated in numerous EU and National projects in Cyprus, Greece and Italy. He has a track record of more than 25 publications in journals and conferences.

I have a passion for technology solutions that can help revolutionize the agri-food world, especially focusing on healthier, more qualitative and safe food, animals and ecosystem.

Regulatory issues and proving the efficiency of such sensors.

The hub is the only one in Cyprus that has been selected by the European Commission for receiving training through PwC to (further) develop our business plan and capitalize on best practices identified by other DIHs in Europe. The company has also been awarded by the European Business Awards as the National Champion in Innovation for 2015/16 in Cyprus.
